When a seemingly harmless landslide strikes the tiny mountain village of Vallata, some residents begin to suffer from a mysterious amnesia: six years of their lives have vanished into thin air. Relationships, children, life-changing decisions—everything has been forgotten. The village is placed under quarantine, and no one on the outside knows what’s happening, but Matteo, a war reporter originally from Vallata, manages to get past the security cordon with the goal of uncovering the truth; he’ll join forces with Alma, an oncologist who is in the area on a hike and has been stranded in the village.
It soon becomes clear that the amnesia is just the tip of the iceberg: those who have lost their memories begin to have strange visions that, day by day, become more vivid than reality itself. What terrible truth lies behind this strange phenomenon? Is it a disease, a curse, or a dark, long-repressed past that now seeks to resurface?
