Green Film at Cannes

Green Film is at the Marché du Film in Cannes!

For the first time this year, ecology will have a dedicated booth in Cannes: Eco Hub, an initiative led by Greenigma and Green Film Shooting, in partnership with Green Film, Ecoprod, Green Toolkit and Baltic Green Film.

Located in the heart of the film market at the Riviera, the Eco Hub reflects a collective international effort to promote and accelerate environmental responsibility in the film industry across borders. Discover more about Eco Hub!

Chatting&mingling about sustainability in the audiovisual sector:  

  • Do not hesitate to contact Linnea Merzagora, Green Film Project Manager, to book a meeting from May 16th to 18th.
    The Marché du Film will also be the opportunity to dive a bit deeper into the various topics that favour sustainable practices in the audiovisual sectors and exchange information about sustainability.
  • The CineRegio Sustainability group will meet on Friday 16th to discuss how can regional film funds further promote sustainability in the industry. 
  • On Sunday, May 18th at 14:00 at the Eco Hub – Marché du Film Riviera #D8 do not miss Eco Talk – Green Animation 
    with Alissa Aubenque, Director of Operations, Ecoprod, France; Linnea Merzagora, Green Film, Trentino Film Commission,  Italy, where Ecoprod and Green Film will present the upcoming Green Animation Guide and their collaborative work on creating common sustainability standards for the animation industry

We are also proud that 2 Green Films were selected to premiere at the 78th edition of the Festival de Cannes, with a rich and prestigious programme.

Both will premiere in the Un Certain Regard section

Le città di pianura”  will  premiere in the Salle Debussy on the 21st at 14.30. The Italian film directed by Francesco Sossai is a road movie across the level ground of Veneto.The film is also in competition for the 2025  Ecoprod Award that shines a spotlight on teams – artists, producers and technicians – committed to reducing the environmental impact of their film

The other Italian film “Testa o Croce?”  by Alessio Rigo de Righi and Matteo Zoppis will premiere on 22 May at  11.00.
