The Green Film Lab in Budapest has come to an end!
It was an intense and rich workshop spanning through 3 days where sustainability in the audiovisual sector was discussed in detail with: 6 selected project teams, 4 sustainability professionals, 6 producers without a project and 2 delegates.
The participants attended with great enthusiasm and made their best efforts in working on their projects.
Deeply insightful and of high quality were the lectures by the tutors Louise Marie Smith, Dörte Schneider Garcia and Lucie Trémolières and by the experts Julia Tordai (GreenEyes), with case studies of sustainable productions in Hungary, and Janka Neustupová, who introduced the topic of social sustainability.
The presentation of Green Film by Linnea Merzagora was also a moment of interaction and dialogue, which continued during the one-to-ones with the individual projects.
The participants presented their drafts of sustainability plans at the end of the workshop, during a kick-off meeting simulation. And they also learnt how to apply current best practices in terms of energy saving, transport, accommodation, catering, set decoration, waste management, recycling and communication.
Fantastic welcoming by the partners of the National Film Institute Hungary and of JUNO11, excellent organisation by TorinoFilmLab (Séverine Petit, Agata Czerner) and coordination by Head of Studies Giovanni Pompili made it a really positive experience.
Green Film Lab is organised by TorinoFilmLab and Green Film, promoted by the National Cinema Museum and the Trentino Film Commission, in collaboration with EAVE. Supported by Europa Creativa – MEDIA sub-programme of the European Union.
