Green Skills for Cinema and audiovisual production

Green Film is glad to participate as training curator for the international project “Green Skills for Cinema and Audiovisual Production”. Green SCAP is an advanced training project resulting from the collaboration between: Veneto Film Commission (Italy), Film Office-Central Macedonia (Greece) Hellenic Fim and Audiovisual Center Creative Greece / Hellenic Film Commission (Greece), Mediterranean Creative Hub of Mallorca (Spain), with the curatorship of Green Film / Trentino Film Commission. CNA Veneto, Arpa Veneto and New Institute Centre for Environmental Humanities (NICHE) also collaborated in the initiative.

This training programme is designed to support Sustainability Managers interested in acquiring the skills to work on audiovisual production
Green Skills for Cinema and Audiovisual Production” is an advanced training course divided into theoretical sessions and practical exercises.

  • The course examines the latest developments in sustainable production across Europe, analyses recent case studies, and brings together professionals such as location managers, producers, film offices and film commissions.
  • The course aims to define best practices and produce useful materials for film and sustainability professionals, accompanying the audiovisual sector towards a transition in production methodologies.
  • The course includes in-person and on-line sessions to develop environmental management skills applied to film productions

The partner organisations recognize the necessity of developing an innovative training programme aimed at updating and retraining professionals’ skills to minimize the environmental impact of film sets.

How to apply:

The required materials – to be sent all together in one PDF and all in English – are:

  • a motivational letter explaining why you would like to participate in “Green Skills for Cinema and Audiovisual Production” (max 1 page)
  • a document describing whether/how you already work as a Green or Sustainability Manager (max 1 page)
  • a CV.

The selection will be carried out by experts from the partner organisations: Veneto Film Commission, Central Macedonia Film Office, Hellenic Film Commission and Mediterranean Creative Hub of Mallorca with the support of Green Film.
