Marta is a woman from Milan whose perfect life falls apart when her husband Enrico disappears, wanted for money laundering. Left alone with her daughter Greta and her mother-in-law Rosa, Marta moves to Romagna with few clues and a broken-down car. There she meets Susanna, the owner of “La Rotonda”, a place that is part guesthouse, part piadineria and part service station, and despite their differences, the two women develop a deep bond that triggers a series of other intergenerational connections. The series explores the transformations of Marta and her family as they try to rebuild their lives, confronting the past and discovering the meaning of unexpected happiness.
