This shows that the audiovisual sector is increasingly aware of environmental sustainability issues.
“Afrodite” by Stefano Lorenzi and with Ambra Angiolini and Giulia Michelini, will premiere in the section Concorso Meridiana.
Produced by Dakota Film Lab, Rai Cinema. The story follows the story of Ludovica, an expert diver forced by the Mafia to recover a mysterious cargo from an underwater wreck. Trapped in a world of violence and secrets, she finds an unexpected ally in Sabrina and the sea becomes the only space for freedom and rebellion.
Meanwhile, in the section Concorso per il cinema italiano will premiere “L’oro del Reno“. Directed by Lorenzo Pullega.
The story tells the stories around the italian Rhine. Tasked by a local politician to celebrate the river’s marvels, a young and reluctant filmmaker sets out to explore it. From its Apennine source to its Adriatic mouth, his journey takes on the air of a Wagnerian quest, uncovering hidden treasures and unexpected stories along the way.
“Per amore di una donna” by Guido Chiesa will also have its world premiere in the section Concorso per il cinema italiano.
Set in the 70s, the film follows Esther, a 40 year old american woman who, after her mother’s death, receives a misterious letter. She has to find a woman who lived in Palestine in the 30s and that holds a secret of Esther’s life.
Directed by Roberto Dordit, “I colori della tempesta” will premiere at Bif&st in the category Concorso per il cinema italiano.
Who were the Italian Monuments Men, those who saved art pieces during the Second World War? Among these, there was Pasquale Rotondi, an unknown name for many, but saviour of more than 8000 works of art.
Moreover, tv series “Fuochi d’artificio” by Susanna Nicchiarelli will be presented at Pomeriggio al Petruzzelli.
