OPEN CALL | GREEN FILM LAB BACK IN ITALY

Save the date for 17-19 April 2026 because Green Film Lab comes back in Italy, in Turin, for its next edition! 

Green Film Lab is a programme by TorinoFilmLab and Green Film, organised by Museo Nazionale del Cinema and Trentino Film Commission. The programme is made possible thanks to the support of Creative Europe – MEDIA Sub-programme of the European Union, and in collaboration with ACE Producers, EAVE, and Ecoprod.  

Green Film Lab it is a residential 3-day project-oriented workshop tailored for both audiovisual professionals and sustainability consultants. It promotes environmentally sustainable practices in film production while providing professionals with fresh insights into implementing green protocols and obtaining certification. 

Starting from the Green Film Rating System and its two core components—the sustainability plan and the certification process—each team will learn how to apply environmentally responsible measures in areas such as energy use, transportation, accommodation, catering, set decoration, waste management, recycling, and communication. A strong focus will also be placed on social sustainability, including community impact and strategies to improve the environment throughout the production process. 

The training programme will be further enriched with case studies and plenary sessions dedicated to different facets of sustainable filmmaking, offering practical insights into achieving green certification.
