Green Film Lab works to create awareness about sustainability in the film industry, starting from scratch. It is a residential 3-day project-oriented workshop tailored for both audiovisual professionals and sustainability consultants.
It promotes environmentally sustainable practices in film production while providing professionals with fresh insights into implementing green protocols and obtaining certification.
The second workshop of 2025 will be held in Lisbon (Portugal) from 7th to 9th November, thanks to the partnership of Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual and Portugal Film Commission.
Content of the workshop is based on the Green Film Rating System featuring the sustainability plan and the certification process.
Linnea Merzagora, Green Film Project Manager, will present the Green Film rating system and will meet the professionals with individual projects in one-to-ones talks.
Participants will engage in simulating the development of a sustainability plan. The training will be enhanced with case studies and plenary sessions covering various aspects of sustainability. The workshop is held in English. We especially welcome applications from professionals who are Portugal based and/or professionals who will shoot in Portugal.
