Andrea, 21 years old and motherless, is dedicated to his father’s business, a well-known antique dealer who has a strong influence over him. A chance encounter with Tony, his former coach at the San Rossore riding school, leads Andrea to believe that he can become the winning jockey he was before he left racing. Unfortunately, the only horse Tony is willing to give him is Laghat, an exceptional thoroughbred but with a serious eye impairment. This marks the beginning of a sporting and personal challenge for Andrea that will help him mature not only as a jockey but also as a man.
