Mallorca welcomed the third on-site workshop of the European Green SCAP project, which took place from 24 to 26 July 2026. The programme is part of the Erasmus+ initiative and aims to develop ‘green’ skills for professionals in the audiovisual industry across Europe.
This third session focused on the practical implementation of sustainability within the audiovisual industry. Through a series of expert-led presentations and discussions, participants gained valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of translating sustainability strategies into concrete actions.
The main trainer of this session, Paloma Andrés Urrutia (Mrs Green Film), generously shared her professional experience and practical approach to key topics, including working responsibly in protected natural areas, understanding the role, duties, and responsibilities of a Sustainability Manager, and navigating the transition from sustainability planning to effective on-set implementation. By combining real-life case studies with hands-on expertise, the sessions provided participants with useful tools and actionable knowledge to support more sustainable audiovisual productions.

This training initiative, led by Veneto Film Commission in collaboration with the Film Office of Central Macedonia (Greece), the Hellenic Film Commission of the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (Greece), and the Mediterranean Creative Hub of Mallorca (Spain), is a valuable reminder of the importance of training and knowledge-sharing in building a more sustainable audiovisual industry.
